Manchester City academy graduate Gracie Prior signs a four-year deal with Gareth Taylor’s side.
The 19-year-old defender is in good company, joining fellow City academy graduates Khiara Keating and Jess Park on the senior team.
Last season she joined Burnley on dual registration, helping them to place second in the FA Women’s National League North.
Taylor is yet to reveal whether the youngster will be sent out on loan or remain in his first team squad but Prior is no stranger to the first team.
In October 2022 she made her senior team debut in a 6-0 Conti Cup victory over the Blackburn Rovers at the Joie Stadium.
She came on in the dying minutes of the match, holding strong the backline for the Cityzens alongside City legend Steph Houghton, Leila Ouahabi and Emma Jane Siddal.
Joining the club in 2012, the childhood City fan will wear the number 28 shirt.
Prior told City: “It feels like a dream come true to sign my first professional contract for one for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“It’s amazing, and a really proud moment for me and my family. It’s something I’d dreamt of, but it still feels very surreal.”
