Swedish forward, Rosa Kafaji, has signed for Jonas Eidevall’s side ahead of the 2024-25 season on a long-term contract.

Previously having only played in the Swedish leagues, Kafaji has taken the leap into the Women’s Super League, claiming the North London club’s number 16 jersey.

The number was last worn by defender Noelle Maritz who made the move to Aston Villa in the January transfer window.

Kafaji will join the Gunners with Champions League experience under her belt having scored four times in the competition last season.

The 21-year-old’s striking talent was made even clearer in the OBOS Damallsvenskan, where she became BK Häcken’s top goalscorer for the 2024-25 season with 15 goals.

Internationally, she has made eight more appearances for Sweden since making her senior debut against Italy in October 2023.

Rosa told Arsenal: “It feels amazing to join this club – I’m so happy to be here, I had a very good feeling after speaking to Jonas and Clare and it just feels right to be at Arsenal.

“I’m hungry to keep growing and I know this is the right place for me to do that and compete for the biggest trophies. I can’t wait to get started and walk out at Emirates Stadium in front of all our supporters.”
