Mary Earps, ex-Manchester United goalkeeper with fans

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of English goalkeeper Mary Earps on a two-year deal until 2026.

The 31-year departs the WSL upon the expiration of her contract with Manchester United earlier this week.

In a statement given to PSG, Earps said, “Joining Paris Saint-Germain is a fantastic opportunity.

“I’m honoured to become a Parisian and I can’t wait to play alongside my new teammates.

“Together, we’re going to give our all to help the club shine and make our fans proud.

“I’m determined to contribute to our future success so that Paris Saint-Germain continues to rank amongst Europe’s top clubs.”

Earps is one of the most renowned goalkeepers in the history of women’s football and has recently made 125 appearances for her former club, Manchester United, playing every league minute.

She has also won The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper for 2022 and 2023, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Golden Glove, 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year and the 2023 BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year.

The Nottingham-born keeper has also been a key player in England’s international success, after playing every minute of their seven World Cup matches, conceding only four goals throughout the tournament.
