England defender Lucy Bronze will leave FC Barcelona when her contract ends on 30 June.

Since joining Barcelona in 2022, the England international has undergone a trophy-laden spell, winning seven out of the eight available trophies.

Bronze has won two European titles, two league titles and three domestic cups in her time with the Catalan side.

During her two-years in Spain, Bronze made 70 appearances for the club and scored five goals.

The 32-year-old will be out of contract and free to sign for any club after June 30.

Bronze will be leaving Barcelona with a lasting legacy as one of the best defenders in the history of women’s football.

A Barcelona statement read: “The club wishes Lucy Bronze the best of luck and success in her new stage, both personally and professionally.”

She also has 123 caps for her international team, England, and was one of the starting XI who won the EURO 2022 title.

Before joining Barcelona, Bronze spent time at both Manchester City and Lyon.

According to Tom Garry from The Guardian, Chelsea FC are heading the race to sign the defender.
