Aston Villa has announced that senior duo Jordan Nobbs and Danielle Turner will be extending their time at the club until 2025.
Jordan Nobbs, in her first full season as a Villain, has made 22 appearances in the Women’s Super League (WSL), contributing to four goals (two assists and two goals). Although she didn’t register any goal contributions in her six FA Cup appearances, Nobbs has established herself as a key player for Aston Villa.
The 31-year-old’s standout performance came in February against Tottenham Hotspur, where she scored the winning goal in the 60th minute. Looking ahead, Nobbs will be eager to increase her goal contributions next season.
With her contract expiring in 2025, there is speculation about a potential retirement for the experienced midfielder.
This season has been relatively injury-free for Nobbs, allowing her to maintain consistent performance levels for the club.
Danielle Turner made 18 appearances for Aston Villa this season, scoring one impressive goal against Manchester City. Despite her early goal in the seventh minute, Villa lost the match 2-1, with Lauren Hemp scoring twice for City.
Turner has been a regular starter, beginning 15 out of her 18 appearances and playing a total of 1,344 minutes in the WSL this season. However, the 33-year-old did suffer a minor knee injury, sidelining her for multiple games.
Like Nobbs, Turner’s contract also extends until 2025, raising questions about her future plans once the contract expires.
Aston Villa will undoubtedly benefit from the continued presence of these two seasoned players as they aim for further success in the coming seasons.
