Bohemian W.F.C. will be hosting the Palestinian Women’s National team in Ireland on this evening for a solidarity match.

Bohemian Women, the Women’s National League side from Dublin, has sold out Dalymount Park for the historic fixture. 

4,500 fans will be present to celebrate the Palestinian women’s football team playing their first ever match on European soil.

Palestine will be led out by Captain Mira Natour and Vice-Captain Jeniver Shattara.

The friendly will commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Nakba and fundraise for humanitarian relief in Gaza.

The Palestinian Ambassador to Ireland Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid said: “I am very proud to welcome our women’s football team that will be playing in Ireland for the first time in its history.”

The Irish Times have reported that a predicted €80,000 will be raised for the Palestinian people from this occasion.

Matt Devaney, President of Bohemian FC said: “We look forward to welcoming the Palestinian team to Dalymount Park and hope the Irish public get behind this occasion and our efforts to raise a substantial sum to assist and highlight the plight of people in a truly dire situation.”
