She was also named in the top three FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper Award.
Ann-Katrin Berger’s last appearance with the Blues was against Arsenal in December 2023, when Chelsea lost 4-1.
In a statement given to The Athletic, Berger said, “I am incredibly excited to join Gotham FC for this season.
”The NWSL is one of the top leagues in the world right now, and I am very excited to compete and be a part of this league.”
Gotham are currently eighth in the NWSL, and have won only one of their opening three games of the 2024 season.
