England’s Lionesses will face World Cup winners Spain at Wembley in their first home fixture of the 2025 Nations League.

The highly anticipated clash—a rematch of the 2023 World Cup final in Australia—will take place on Wednesday, 26 February.

This match marks the first of England’s fixtures in Group A3, which also includes Portugal, Belgium, and the reigning world champions.

“It’s very exciting to start 2025 at home in this way,” said England manager Sarina Wiegman.

“We always want to perform against the best, and there’s no doubt that Spain, as world champions and Nations League holders, present one of the biggest challenges we can face. That’s how we will continue to develop and grow in what will be a big year for us.”

She added: “The game is made even more special by the fact that it’s at Wembley—a place that holds so many memories for the team and our fans. We will need their support, and I hope they’re looking forward to what will be another big night under the lights at our home.”

This will be the fourth meeting between the two nations.

The match will be broadcast on ITV, which recently secured a new four-year rights deal to remain the home of the Lionesses until 2029.
