Twenty-year-old midfielder Ruby Mace has returned to Leicester City FC, agreeing a two-year deal with the club until 2026.
Mace had previously spent the second half of the 22/23 season on loan to Leicester, but after announcing her departure from Manchester City in May, the exciting youngster will now make her move to the King Power permanent.
She comes into the team as one of the new manager Amanda Miquel’s fresh signings and will offer the Foxes further options in midfield as they strengthen their side in preparation for 24/25.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Mace said: “It feels a little surreal right now, but I am so happy to be back. When I first came here, it felt like I was joining a family the second I walked through the door – everybody was so welcoming.
“I was allowed express myself on the pitch and showcase what I can do. This is the best Football Club for me to continue doing that.
“Minutes are important at this stage of my career, and Leicester gave me the platform to play. Hopefully I can prove myself again and do my best to help the team.”
Known for her versatility, Mace can also play at centre-back, a position she has played in at former clubs Arsenal and Birmingham City.
She will join the rest of the Leicester’s squad later this summer as they begin their pre-season preparations.
